1 | Ezekiel War and Armegeddon Distinction | Rev 20:7 | jczucker | 177450
I have a prophesy question or two that I need help with: I am trying to distinguish between what happens in the Ezekiel War and what happen at Armageddon, so my questions are as follows: Is 2/3 of Israel wiped out in the Ezekiel War of Gog and Magog or does that happen later at Armageddon? If Israel is reunited with God at the end of the Ezekiel War as scripture says, why would 2/3 be later wiped out at Armageddon, if that is in fact the case, if they now know that the Lord is God and are reunited with Him as it says in Ezekiel 39? When Zechariah speaks of invaders having eye sockets come out of their faces and other types of devastation, it is when the curse is lifted from Israel and Messiah returns where this is spoken of, so I assume this is Armageddon, but Ezekiel too talks of devastation when Magog attacks Israel. I assume these are two different events, but unsure of what type of devastation happens to the enemies of Israel in each case. I have been trying to reconcile the Ezekiel account of Gog and Magog in chapters 38-39 and last chapter of Zechariah when Jesus returns prior to all nations surrounding and coming against Israel. Again, these appear to be two events, but both of talk of Jews accepting God, so why would 2/3 be wiped out in the last days if they were already reunited with God? What happens after the Ezekiel War and prior to Armageddon. I assume the rebuilding of the temple and rapture, and tribulation in whatever order, but I am unclear about how these two events truly play out in prophesy. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Sir; May I be of some help. I am into a study of who is in the Millennial Kingdom. After the thousand years has expired, Satan turned loose for a short period. Rev. 20:7-10, Gog and Magog fits the Gog and Magog of Ezekiel 38 and 39. This would put them after Arageddon,1000 plus years.Zechariah 14:4, the return of CHRIST after the Great Tribulation. Hopefully this will help. Back to who is in the Millennial Age and doing what.
