2 | To what is jesus the "faithful witness" | Rev 1:5 | greentwiga | 145111 | ||
Jesus is the first ressurected to new life. He opened the door by his death on the cross and because He was sufficient to pay for the sins of mankind, He was ressurected, enabling all others who ar esaved by faith to be ressurected also. The firstborn son has the concept of heir to all of the Father, so John is alluding to this also. All theat the father told Him, He made known to us. He could have known it all since He was fully God, but He had emptied himself and so was dependant on the Father. He was faithful and sinless in his job of telling us everything, so He was the faithful witness. See Rev 2:8,3:7,14 greentwiga |
