2 | Where does Satan come from? | Rev 12:9 | Michael Draves | 102917 | ||
Passages about the king of Babylon in Isaiah 14 and the King of Type in Ezekiel 28 have been interpretted as the fall of Satan. In Job, Satan can be interpretted to be a prosecuting attorney. See also Luke 10:18 and Revelation 12:7-9. Mark 9 quotes the last verse of Isaiah as a description of Hell. The Parable of Lazarus and the Parable of the Feast seem related to a rabbinic parable about Bar Mayaan which has similarities to a much older Egyptian story of Setne and Si-Osire. |
