1 | Does one day equal one thousand years? | 2 Pet 3:8 | Bows44 | 164360
I would like to "hear" a discussion on the two interpretations of this scripture. Which do you suport and why? 1. One day equals one thousand years, therefore we are in the 6th day (prophetically speaking.) 2. This just means that God is outside of time and therefore not constrained by time. A day to God is the same as a thousand years because both are just as long to Him. Note: If you hold to number one, what do you do with the creation account? When God said a day did He really mean a thousand of our years and therefore created the heavens and earth in 6 thousand years and rested for 1 thousand years? Personally, I can see both interpretations, but which one is correct? or can both be correct? Bows44 |

2 | Does one day equal one thousand years? | 2 Pet 3:8 | Commandment keeper | 164620
To our Heavenly Father, a day can be the same as a thousand years. Einstien showed how time can change with speed. It is a proven fact, there can be many time warps, so to speak. Our Father possibly exists in all the time warps. That could be one way he knows the future, because to him, it is all the same. Please realize. I am only stating a possibiity. I certainly do not know his mind, because his ways are not our ways.
