God's day to you, Thorwald, and welcome to the SBF, You ask "Who authorized common people (includes ministers/'teachers') to create all the different literature/bibles that we find today?" ... I don't think you understand the history of the Bible, including how we got our various versions. The only thing about the KJV Bible that was "authorised" was as a name " Authorised Version" in 1814 ... or a phase like as "our present, and only publicly authorised version" (1783). I don't remember a "decree" even. There have been chnages to the original KJV ... including the spelling of the words. The reason for translations is for the common man to read. Please correct me if I am wrong. Searcher |
