Dear SgtMac, "Love is not love if a person is forced to do it. Therefore God gave us a free will." In reply to your statement above, I must say that free will is a "hot topic". I suggest you use the search button if you are interested in learning more about God's soveriegnty and man's responsibility. There are quite a few christians that hold a different view from your own on who chooses whom. You also wrote "Love is not love if a person is forced to do it. Therefore God gave us a free will. If the reward for love and accepting God's love is eternal life in heaven, then there has to be an opposite result of not accepting it. Hence there is Hell. If you catch a thief that has a bounty on his head, you are then rewarded for what you have done. You have "earned' your reward. But, The Scripture teaches that eternal life is a gift and not a reward. Eph 2:8,9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
