1 | Galatians 3:19: ordained through angels? | Deut 33:2 | lorenzosjb | 125605
Hi, Galatians 3:19 NASB, says: "Why the Law then? It was added because of transgressions, having been ordained through angels by the agency of a mediator, until the seed would come to whom the promise had been made". My question is about "ordained through angels". What does it means?. I thinked the Law was given only by God Himself. Thanks, Lorenzo Jimenez |

When the Law was prescribed the Lord appeared with a great company of angels. Apparently it was articulated by the angels, rather than by the Lord. (The Lord reserved for Himself, however, the speaking of the promise; i.e., the enjoining of covenant.) You will see further statements refering to the angels participation in giving the Law in Psalms 68:17, Acts 7:53, and Hebrews 2:2.
