1 | I directing a dram having a role of fath | Deut 22:5 | godfreyli | 139038 | ||
I am trying to direct a drama for Christmas celebration. We have a role of father but no man wants to play. A very well-performed lady is willing to take this challenge. However, now, someone says in the bible, God doesn't like this way---women play the role of men. Is it true? Could anyone direct me to the verse? Or, it is just a kind of church traditon. Thank for Help! In Christ, |

Hi, godfreyli! With all that is going on with the secular world's celebration on homosexuality, I suggest that you educate your group of actors and actresses--as wrong as it is for the secular world to celebrate and tolerate homosexuality, it is a greater offese for "Christians" to be as liberal on issues that are clearly damaging to the Faith! Perhaps you should explain to the men in your congregation that the "father" role should be played by a man--remind them that it is "acting," the character portrayed has no connection to the man performing the part! If all fails--I would contact other Christian congregations that may have a man (or two) willing to participate as the "father." There's a passage in Scripture that speaks on the exchange of garments between male and female--I just can't remember how to word it in order to get it from the electronic Bible... I'll contact you again when I find it! God Bless! Angel |
