2 | Whose prayer offered in faith is it? | James 5:15 | Makarios | 12851 | ||
The prayers offered in faith of both the elders and the of the sick will restore the one who is sick to health. It is so important to pray, and one should never underestimate the power of prayer. We do not know the answer to this question "What happens if one lacks faith?".. The relationship between sins and sickness could be of both natural causes and spiritual causes. The Bible even gives certain examples of where pestilence broke out because of sin.. However, we cannot honestly say with any integrity that all sickness is a result of sin. --Nolan |

I agree, just because I am sick means it is because I sin. Look at Job. When I sin, I don't always become sick. I know cases where one (elder or the one sick) had lack of faith. The person was healed, to the surprise of the one with lack of faith. I think about the faith of the four men who opened up the roof (Mar 2). The man's faith caused his sins to be forgiven, but, I think it was their faith (not his) that healed him. Steve |
