This question is for the translators. With the lack of any comma in the phrase, it can easily be misinterpreted to suggest that God made the Holy Spirit, thus the Holy Spirit is not God. I understand that James' Greek was very cumbersome and not at all smooth. Can you provide a simpler explanation of what James was saying in this passage? Why not put a comma after Spirit and before which? What does he jealously desire the Spirit to do? | ||||||

i have read passage and it seems to be the spirit of man that was put in us at birth because it will do those things that are mrntioned | ||||||

The translators made it clear that they believe James is speaking of the Holy Spirit since they capitalize the S in Spirit. Hence, they cannot believe it is the spirit of man. | ||||||
