Greetings CheriD! Welcome to the Study Bible Forum! Take a look at James 3:1 Also, let me encourage you to stick around this forum and also to spend much time alone and in your local church studying the word of God. There is so much to learn and every step of the way is one blessing after another as we grow in the knowledge of our Lord through His word. It will strengthen your knowledge of Him and draw you closer to the Lord! Please do not let your lack of knowledge of God's word discourage you. No one here knows it all either but there are many here with a vast knowledge of scripture that can help you learn. I know because I have learned from them myself! Steve |

Had no clue attending church and knowng the 10 comnandments was not enough--I was missing the blessing! I plan on being here often. We have a Bible Study group formed--it is a study not a Church. All of us are new and learning. I am learning I do not know how to find the answers yet! In short, plan on seeing me in here alot! I have alot of questions. I have 3 major ones right now. CheriD, Allow me to echo the sentiments expressed by humbledbyhisgrace in welcoming you to the forum. I remember my days as a new disciple of Jesus Christ and I will always cherish them. I want to encourage you as a new disciple to cherish these early days, savour in them as you grow and mature in your walk with God. This will be a time that will go with you through your whole life. Here are a few basic scriptures that will help you on your way as you get into the study and learning of God's Word. 2 Timothy 2:15-16, 3:16-17, and 2 Peter 1:20-21. These are bedrock scriptures that will hold great importance in your study of His Word. It's good to have you here, I know that my almost three years experience here on the forum have been a tremendous blessing. Wouldnt trade em for anything. Let me also encourage you with this, It's good for you and your friends to study and pray together. Continue to do that. But I highly recomend you and your friends seek out a strong well grounded fellowship where the Gospel is consistantly preached, this will help you out also. Tell us a little about yourself, you can do that back in your user profile. It will help us to get to know you better. In Him, lionheart |
