1 | Belief in God? | James 2:19 | sniper | 78796
Ngop, If a person knows that there is a God, then don't they believe that there is a God? On the one hand you say that it takes a revelation from God Himself to believe that there is a God, but on the other hand you say that one can know there is a God by looking around. Maybe I am misunderstanding your point. Do you also consider creation to be revelation from God Himself? If so, then it makes sense to me. As for Darwin's theory, I don't consider that evidence. It is a theory. What is the evidence that there is a God? Does it take faith to believe in Darwin's theory; does it take faith to believe that there is a God who created all? About the individual in the wilderness, I understand that they must hear the gospel from one who is preaching it. But, what leads them to believe that there is a God to search for on the first place? Does it take faith to believe that all the world around them points to a higher being? God bless. |

2 | Belief in God? | James 2:19 | Ngop | 78909
Sniper, Greeting in Christ our Lord. "If a person knows that there is a God, then don't they believe that there is a God?" Not necessarily. A lot of people know that there is God but they do not believe in Him. Or say, they just wouldn't bother. "Do you also consider creation to be revelation from God Himself? If so, then it makes sense to me." If one sees peace and harmony in the creation, then it is a revelation from God. Some people see creation a big messed up thing, you know. I think you misunderstood me about the Darwin Theory. What I meant about it is " It remains a theory and never further proven thus is NOT a FACT yet. Regarding your last question, Yes, that is the way I see it or say, I look at it. God bless, Ngop |

3 | Belief in God? | James 2:19 | disciplerami | 78954
Greetings, I don't think Sniper said that they 'believe in God'; he was only asking if knowing and believing there is a God is the same thing? If men know or believe there is a God, since God is Spirit, then a degree of spiritual discernment is at work. Even the atheist rejects the clear signs of God's existence and there is no excuse for it. He will be judged for following his lust. God bless, Disciplerami |

4 | Belief in God? | James 2:19 | Ngop | 78981
Disciplerami, Greetings in Christ Jesus, Indeed, quite a puzzle. Knowing there is God and believing there is God. My opinion is "knowing" is more on knowledge while "believing" is more on a state of mind. In the following example you'll see my understanding: I know my wife is at home ( factual statement ) while I believe my wife is at home ( analytical ). God bless Ngop |

5 | Belief in God? | James 2:19 | disciplerami | 78993
Dear ngop, My opinion, God won't care. They are both the same. If you know there is a God, that requires investigative/comparitative analysis of the facts. Let's not lose focus. God is going to hold people responsible for sin because they should know better. "For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods," - Ps 95:3 God bless, Disciplerami |
