1 | What do you think? | James 2:10 | nomad1 | 144861
a young unmarried couple were renting a house from the church. the young man attended this church regularly. he was also encouraging his girlfriend to come with him. The church had a vote and decided that they had to move. the preacher came alone and told them to get married or move. The church did not pray for this couple and noone from the church came to invite the young lady to church. In fact, this was the only time the pastor had been to their home. He told them that their sin was the number one sin greater even than murder. The preacher did ask the young man to come back to church but he no longer feels welcome and my question is this if he is not welcome in one house, why is he welcome in another. Both houses are Gods

nomad1, greetings, I am not sure how all this happened ... methinks they forgot love. One sin causes you to break then all and one sin will keep you out of heaven. Challenge to the preacher to prove "their sin (fornication) was the number one sin greater even than murder" ... for I will issue challenge face2face if needed. How can the preacher say "get married or move" when the church give any stipulation - they voted to say move? Is he overstepping his authority? Another challenge - the church body need to get involved. Searcher PS There also may be legal issues. |
