Hi, ministermay! Heard the expression "practice makes perfect"? As we get involved with the Word of God (both learning and living) we submerge ourselves into the Grace and Wisdom of the Holy Spirit (James 1:25). Jude says it this way: But you, my dear friends, must build yourselves up on the foundation of your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves within the love of God and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to give you eternal life. (Jude 1:20-21) Paul breaks it down in Romans: So then, now that we have been justified by faith, we are at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; it is through him, by faith, that we have been admitted into God's favour in which we are living, and look forward exultantly to God's glory. Not only that; let us exult, too, in our hardships, understanding that hardship develops perseverance, and perseverance develops a tested character, something that gives us hope, and a hope which will not let us down, because the love of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit which has been given to us. (Romans 5:1-5) So we are to live the Word; we are to minister to ourselves and to those around us, and with the measure that we share the Gospel and ourselves with others we shall receive blessings upon blessings (including strengthening of our Faith): But remember: anyone who sows sparsely will reap sparsely as well--and anyone who sows generously will reap generously as well. Each one should give as much as he has decided on his own initiative, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. God is perfectly able to enrich you with every grace, so that you always have enough for every conceivable need, and your resources overflow in all kinds of good work. As scripture says: To the needy he gave without stint, his uprightness stands firm for ever. (2 Corinthians 9:6-9) May the Holy Spirit impart His Blessings upon your thirst for Salvation! God Bless!
