Hi Kalos, I was just curious, does your MacArthur Study Bible give any additional info on why John MacArthur teaches that those raised at Jesus' death were not raised in eternal bodies? Hi, John... I don't know anywhere in Scripture where the Bible teaches that people will receive "different" bodies than those that they had in life. Knowing MacArthur as I do I'd be so bold as to venture that he would agree with the 1689 LBCF, chapter 31, paragraph 2, "At the last day, such of the saints as are found alive, shall not sleep, but be changed; and all the dead shall be raised up with the selfsame bodies, and none other; although with different qualities, which shall be united again to their souls forever. (1 Corinthians 15:51, 52; 1 Thessalonians 4:17; Job 19:26, 27; 1 Corinthians 15:42, 43)" In Him, Doc |
