1 | Is man a 'triune' creature? | Heb 4:12 | charis | 2199
Dear inhzsvc, "Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." 1Thessalonians 5:23 NASB. Apparently, Paul is making a difference between body, soul, and spirit, and that this situation exists before we meet the Lord. The writer of Hebrews makes it seem that the Word divides them for a reason. I have a theory, but want to ask if anyone else thinks that man is a triune creature? Blessings in Jesus' name, charis |

2 | Is man a 'triune' creature? | Heb 4:12 | kenpo | 2456
Your right! Man is a triune a creature. Our spirit is dead until God gives spiritual life. Our spirit is indwelled by His Holy Spirit. Our flesh is the sinful desires and the soul is our mind and self conscienceness and also where the battle is waged between our new desire to please God and our old sinful self. Read Romans 7. The spirit is saved: Justification (penalty of sin) The soul is being saved: (Power of sin) The body will be saved at glorification: (presence of sin) Read Romans 8:29-30 He will bring it to pass! |
