Why does the NASB not capitalize "him" if this pronoun refers to God? This makes me wonder if it is a reference to Hebrews 1:1 - as "God spoke . . . in the prophets". I also am reminded of Jesus' words in the story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:31 - "But he said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.'" It is interesting to note that "Prophets" in this passage is capitalized. Just wondering, that's all! |
