1 | Am I wrong to think this? | Heb 10:25 | Searcher56 | 106794 | ||
Scripture ... Act 17:11, Heb 10:19-25, 13:17-18 ... JGA216, greetings. People do not attend church for several reasons. One is because of what others do ... but, He wants us to gather together - to encourage each other. We need each other. If you drive the speed limit, you may think you are the only one, because you don't (usually) see others who do the same. We could follow others and do our own thing .. but, take courage you are not alone. Plus, when we attend church ... we need to ask what we can do for her, not what we can get from the church. It is important to obey the leaders and pray for them - they have a great responsibility. If you think something that is said, you need to ask the speaker where they got their information. Searcher, Thank you for your response. Yours as well as others have in such a short amount of time given me legitimate reasons to question my previous mindset concerning "the church". That fact alone tells me that I do need the guidance of my bretheren. I also found much insight when you said that "we need to ask what we can do for her, not what we can get from the church" Thank you for your advice, god bless you |
