1 | What day are we COMMANDED to gather? | Heb 10:25 | Searcher56 | 7574 | ||
What day are we COMMANDED to gather? I cannot find anywhere in the Bible where we are commanded to gather together. - The fourth commandment only says to keep the Sabbath day holy. It does not say to gather. - The in the NT sometimes they gathered on the Sabbath and other times on the first day of the week. I want Biblical support (I do not care what any man thinks) for your answer that it is a COMMAND. I believe it is just a tradition. Steve |

I agree!! Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near." But there is no mandate as to 'when' we are supposed to gather. It does say this in Colossians about the Sabbath. Col 2:16-17 "Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day-- things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ."
