1 | Does God ordain women bishops? | Titus 2:4 | Fletch | 118236
I would like to add one more thing: Ephesians 5:23 "For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior." 1 Corinthians 11:3 "But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God." I am trying to portray from these two passages that the wife can not be the head of the church, since her husband is head of her and Christ head of him, with Christ also being the head of the Church. I hope that this helps. Brother in Christ, Rex |

2 | Does God ordain women bishops? | Titus 2:4 | WalkingTalkingBible | 118277
Thanks, Rex, this helps alot. I understand now, that, what's going on today is a lot of self and not enough truth. It takes the power of the Holy Ghost to submit yourself and not power in self. I see a lot of women being ordained as bishops, calling themselves elders and pastors, and it grieves my spirit. I want women to understand that "head" is a position that God ordains and not men (even though some men take it out of context). I understand now the role of a woman of God in the body of Christ is in no wise less important than the role of the man of God. They are just different and God made it this way. Brothers and sisters in the body of Christ must learn to love each other, regardless of a title or calling, and not make it seem like "if you're not the head, then you are less important." Thanks, again, Rex. WalkingTalkingBible |
