Dear Sug557, Sound doctrine requires certain behaviors of those who are of the faith, depending on their maturity and position. The reality within will always manifest itself with observable behavior. Christians are called to be busy with the doing of good works. Regarding your specific question concerning chapter 2 of Titus, here's a summary: 1. Older men to be sober, sound in faith, in patience (v2) 2. Older women, sound in holy behavior, teaching good things (v3) 3. Young women to be taught to be sober and sound in action, to love their families (v4-5) 4. Young men to be exhorted to be sober minded (v6) 5. Slaves to be taught to be obedient, industrious, and honest (v9) 6.
