1 | The Grace of God. | Titus 2:11 | Ray | 62836
Hi Lourdes Figueroa, It may be clear to you what Titus 2:11-15 says but there are many ways to look at it. One might say after reading it in the NASB that all men are saved. Certainly there are those who would say that God's grace would allow the possibility for all men to be saved. But I believe that the Greek is saying that the saving grace of God has appeared to all men. Christ, the Redeemer died that we might be purified, that we might be His people, zealous to engage in good deeds as His followers. What are your thoughts on the passage? From the heart, Ray |

It means that we are: B. Cleansed from sin by the blood of Christ. Rev. 1:5 "and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is albe to snatch them out of the Father's hand. v.30 I and My Father are one." D. We are sure of heaven when we die. John 14:1-3 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. v.2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. v.3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also." 2 Cor. 5:1-8 and John 11:25,26 II. TAUGHT BY GRACE. (CHRISTIAN LIVING) Titus 2:12 A. Teaches us the negative side of Christian living; that which we are to leave alone. 1. Ungodliness. Anything that is not for His glory. Cp. 1 Cor. 10:31 2. Worldly lust. James 4:4 B. Teaches us the positive side of Christian living. 1. Soberly. Col. 3:5-10. Has to do with our self. 2. Righteously. Rom 12:17-21. Has to do with our relationship with our fellowman. 3. Godly. Col. 3:15-17. Has to do with our relationship with God. III. MARKED BY GRACE. (CHRISTIAN HOPR) Titus 2:13,14 A. Will cause us to look for Christ. Compare. John 14:1-3; I Thess. 4:13-18; 1 John 3:1-3. B. Will cuase us to be a peculiar people. (A people for His very own possesion) Cp. 1 Cor. 6:19,20 C. 3 | The Grace of God. | Titus 2:11 | Ray | 62891
Hi Lourdes Figueroa, Thank you for the best wishes. Are these your personal notes? I appreciate your work here. When the kindness and love of God appeared we were truly taught of God. John 6:45 The Son of God appeared for this purpose: that He might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8 I appreciate especially your leading to compare Ephesians 2:7-10 and Titus 2:11-14. Even we Gentiles are His people and He prepared beforehand that we would walk in good works because we are His workmanship and His possession. From the heart, Ray |
