1 | Is all new doctrine false doctrine? | Titus 1:9 | Listener | 35405
Is all new doctrine false doctrine? I saw this idea stated as a fact and used to refute pre-trib teaching. Does Titus 1:9 indicate that all doctrine is to be treated as a body of truth that is passed from believer to believer? Or is the Bible to be interpreted and new doctrines developed over time? Any additional verses which address this?
2 | Is all new doctrine false doctrine? | Titus 1:9 | Andrew Jr | 35505
In the first Chp of the book of Galatians, Paul writes about these false doctrines. You see the true doctrine has already been given which is the apostles doctrine."No other foundation can no man lay than that which is already laid which is Christ Jesus." The apostles laid the foundation and now we are to build on the foundation that the apostles laid. Anytime someone comes with a new doctrine they are laying another foundation. Now the foundation of Jesus Christ has already been laid by the apostles, which is the truth. Therfore any new doctrines is not of Christ but is in error. Jesus taught the apostle what to tell the churches inorder for us to be saved and live holy. Hopefully this will help to add to the other responces for your better understanding.
