1 | Is to lay in bed with another a sin? | 2 Tim 2:22 | ydolomite | 59550
I'm knew in this walk with Christ and I hope that this isn't a dumb question. But I know that fornicating is a sin. But I here some people discussing how they may sleep together in the same bed and not do anything. Is there a scripture in the Bible that I can refer to, to answer this question?
2 | Is to lay in bed with another a sin? | 2 Tim 2:22 | kalos | 59551
ydolomite: NASB 2 Timothy 2:22 Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness... AMPLIFIED 2 Timothy 2:22 Shun youthful lusts and flee from them, and aim at and pursue righteousness (all that is virtuous and good, right living, conformity to the will of God in thought, word, and deed)... TO GET INTO BED WITH does not equal TO FLEE. I think "some people" are looking for loopholes, rather than looking for how they may pursue righteousness from a pure heart. kalos |

4 | Is is okay to be in bed w/o the sex? | 2 Tim 2:22 | kalos | 59590
Searcher: No, I'm not saying it is okay to lie in bed *w/o* the act of sex. Nor am I saying that it is OK to lie in bed *with* the act of sex. I'm saying the OPPOSITE. I'm saying that the Bible says to flee youthful lusts. I'm saying that "TO GET INTO BED WITH does *NOT* equal TO FLEE." For the life of me, I cannot imagine how my remarks could have been interpreted to mean that it's OK to have pre-marital bed, i.e. to lie in bed "w/o the act of sex." Grace to you, kalos |
