1 | Understanding being saved. | 2 Tim 2:15 | speight | 175007
Thank you taking the time with my question. When I try and invite someone to church or somekind of church function the kind of response that I get is "well I'm saved, I don't have to." But in the same sentence tell me that they are going to some kind of party. I suppose only God knows, and there are things that I will never understand as long as I do my part as a christian.
2 | Understanding being saved. | 2 Tim 2:15 | lionheart | 175013
speight, We wont undfrstand everything till the day we stand before God.But there is much we can and will understand. By giving ourselves to the daily application of 2 Timothy 2:15 and prayer we will understand. 1 Peter 3:15-But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, (NIV). Sharing our faith with people is'nt a matter of inviting people to church although that's part of what we will do, it is a matter of sharing your life with others. As people see the Christ in you (Col 1:27) in your life God will draw them to you. Spend some time in the scripture I refered to in my last post to you, they will help. In Christ, lionheart |
