Hi, Bigtyme... I did... I cited 1 Timothy chapter 3. See also Titus chapter 1. Another particular verse is 1 Timothy 2:12. God has a very specific roles for men and women. I think the women have a challenging role; see for example: Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the Word of God will not be dishonored. (Titus 2:3-5 NASB) Imagine that! As women learn to love their husbands, children, to be sensible, pure, kind, etc. the Word of God will not be dishonored! Clearly, in the converse, it will be dishonored. God is so gracious to instruct, correct, and grant us grace to do that which will bring please Him and give Him glory. In Him, Doc |
