1 | should women be ministers and pastors? | 1 Tim 2:12 | godsown_76 | 35804
I read 1Cor 14:34-35, I think that that is saying that women should be quiet in church (refrain from interrupting) if they have questions, wait until after the meeting to ask their husbands, not during the service. I don't think he is saying that women can't be Ministers. what do you think? you can't read vs. 34 without going on to vs. 35.

1 Tim 2:12: But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. The word usurp in the dictionary means to seize and hold in possession y force or withourt right: to take the place of by or as if by force. God set up a chain command if you will God is the head of Jesus Jesus is the head of man Man is the head of women So right here could he be saying that if a woman takes charge by using force then she is out of order, but if she is granted that position by man , then it is okay for her to do so? In other words if the woman in the church is still under the man guidence then it is okay, because of the order that God mandated God head of Jesus Jesus head of man Man head of woman. I hope I am being clear if not let me know. |
