1 | should women be ministers and pastors? | 1 Tim 2:12 | claywchrist | 35794
Hank, It seems to me that you are disagreeing with Grace's answer. If you are, please provide us (me in particular) scriptural basis for your disagreement. I would also like to know what God says about women in the church. Thank you and God bless you Clay |

Dear Clay -- In kindness but in candor I must tell you that your inference is ill drawn. My response to Grace spoke less to the question itself than to the process one should employ in arriving at any answer to it; namely, to search the Scriptures for instruction and guidance instead of waiting in expectation of extra-biblical direction from the Spirit on this or any other issue about which He has already spoken in Scripture. This topic of women's role in church has been discussed at enormous length on this forum, and I would invite you, using Search, to type in the words, women church. Some Scripture passages to get you going that speak more or less directly to this subject are, but are not limited to, the following: 1 Tim. 2:9-15; 1 Cor.14:34,35; 1 Tim.3:1-12; 1 Cor.11:3; Titus 1:5-9 and 2:1-5. Clay, whether I, or anyone else, should happen to agree or disagree with any spirtual issue is of far less significance than what Scripture actually says about it. Every good wish and the Lord's grace to you. --Hank
