2 | Shipwrecked faith? | 1 Tim 1:19 | Searcher56 | 19740 | ||
Charis, The shipwreck occurs when we fail to hold on to the faith, and start to rely on our own conscience. It’s possible to know God’s Word, cling to God’s promises and still come across times in your life where your ship of faith becomes shipwrecked. We ignore warning signs God brings and sail off the course He has plotted ... into the rocks and sandbars. We think that we have a better way. Acts 24:16 says , "And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men." 2 Corinthians 1:12 echoes this. Hope this helps, Searcher |
