This passage is telling of coming apostasy that must occur before the second coming of Jesus. There is some controversy over who the "he that hinders" is. Some argue the it is the church and that this proves the church must be removed (raptured) before this man that will bring in total apostasy will be revealed. Others say it is convicting power of the Holy Spirit. Some say it is the Holy Spirit Himself. There are other speculations, and that is just it, it is all speculation since scripture does not fully reveal who the "he that hinders" is |

2 Thes 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.(This is a day of Judgment that is happening right now) 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away (of the church) first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; (The church will fall away from the Faith of Jesus leading them to put to death the deeds of the flesh and Satan will enter into the Temple or your body acting like he is God.) Jer 51:51 We are confounded, because we have heard reproach: shame hath covered our faces: for strangers (satan or demons) are come into the sanctuaries of the LORD's house. Is14:13 For thou (satan) hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven (heaven is within you), I will exalt my throne above the stars (Sons) of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I (man of sin) will be like the most High. Mark 13:25 And the stars (Sons of God) of heaven shall fall,(away from the faith) and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. 2 Thes 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple (your body) of God, shewing himself that he is God. Lam 1:9 Her (the church) filthiness is in her skirts; she remembereth not her last end;(see prov 5:8-13) therefore she came down wonderfully (fallen away) she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified himself.10 The adversary (the devil) hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation. 2 Thes 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth (restrains him) that he might be revealed in his time.( He is being revealed right now) 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: (this mystery is Satan being manifest through your flesh) only he who now letteth (him manifest) will let, until he (the lawless person) be taken out of the way. (of holiness) 8 And then shall that Wicked (person) be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, (his Word) and shall destroy (in judgment) with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, (the lawless man) whose coming (in the church) is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, Rev 13:13 And he (this lawless man in the church) doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 2 Thes 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, ( The Word of God) that they might be saved. ( from God’s wrath Rom 5:9) Jer 6:10 To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it. 2 Thes 2:11 And for this cause (all deceivableness of unrighteousness they received not the love of the truth) God shall send them strong delusion, ( a religious spirit) that they should believe a lie: Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: ( This is the false gospel of Satan, you shall not surely die. When a person believes that is ok to sin and they won’t die, they get this deluding spirit. It is in the churches today) 2 Thes 2:12 That they all might be damned (judged) who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 2 Tim3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof ( the power of the gospel to change their heart) from such turn away. Jer 7:28 But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation (people) that obeyeth not the voice (word) of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: (they just continue to sin) truth is perished, and (the Word of God) is cut off from their mouth | ||||||

2 Thes 2:1-12 Steve, Hope this makes it clear. You could be deceived about how the day of Christ is coming. It is a day of darkness and gloominess. (Joel 2:1-3) It will come when the church, because of sin, (Hos 14:1) has fallen away from the faith in Jesus Christ (Heb 6:4-6) leading their lives to put to death the deeds of this flesh (Rom 8:14). Because of sin, Satan has entered into the Temple of God (1 Cor: 3:16), a dwelling place that is not theirs, (Hab 1:6) Where he is acting like he is God. ( Is 14:13) The throne he sits on is in your heart. Satan is being revealed in the flesh and is not being restrained right now. (Lev 26:15-16) He is manifesting in most everyone who is called Christian today. The flesh is Wicked and is being judged by Jesus that is coming as a thief. (Rev 3:3) Many false preachers today are not righteous but are still walking under the judgment of God’s law ( Rom 1:18, Jer 12:10-11) by teaching the congregation (Rom 1:32)it is acceptable to occasionally sin (2 Cor 11:4 and 11:12) which in turn, puts a person under the judgment of God’s law. God says you are to be perfect. (Math 5:48, 2Tim 3:17, 1Cor 2:6, Heb 6:1, Col 1:28 ….) Many preachers today are preaching another Jesus and another gospel saying you do not have to be come perfect.( 2 Cor 11:4) This lie, false gospel , is telling people they cannot fall away (2 Pet 3:17) and they surely shall not die ( Gen 3:4) when they sin. It is believed that just an occasional sin does not bring forth death when God says it does. (James 1:15) Many people who claim to be Christians love their church and activities more than God. They do not want to hear in the Word where they must not sin (1 John 3:9 ) but how they are in Christ and Jesus loves them as sinners( 1John 3:6 Gal 2:17). He will take them the way they are. (2 Jhn 9) God is sending religious spirits,(1 John 4:5) strong delusion, into the church to make them believe a lie. (2 Thes 2:12) Many church goers today want to be called Christians and will boast they are sinners (2 cor 11:12 Phil 3:19) and cannot stop sinning. (Jhn 8:34, 1 Jhn 3:8,10). These false Christians ( 2 cor 11:12-13) are Deceitful workers using scripture to justify that they can occasionally sin. They are still walking after this old flesh nature. They will quote they have a new nature but still live in the old. They will say Jesus has changed them (Duet 29:19-20) but there is no evidence in their life. When they hear that they must not sin, Satan arises and starts bringing scripture into their minds (Rom 8:5) of how God will always forgive and they do not have to suffer persecution. This is not the mind of Christ. (1 pet 4:1-2) Jesus comes into your body when you have put the flesh to death. Only after you have put to death the deeds of the flesh can Christ be manifested. He is not in the body if it is alive to sin. (Rom 8:10) When you sin, death enters in, you become a servant to sin ( John 8:34) and start doing the things you don’t want to do.( Rom 7:19) You are being condemned in your heart and are brought under the judgment of God’s law. Thank God for Jesus Christ dying on the cross that when we do accidently sin we have a place to put this sin. (Rom 7:25) Satan, the spirit of antichrist, has entered the Temples (1 Cor 3:16) today acting as God, doing the things of God. ( Rev 13:13-14 Is 14:14) The spirit of antichrist will never lead you to put to death the deeds of this flesh and use the weapons in Eph 6:11-17. This spirit that is manifesting sin is a very good indication that Jesus has not come into your flesh.(1Jhn 4:3) Your husband, flesh, has not died. You are still married to the old flesh (husband). (Rom 7:1-3) This false gospel tells you that you can be double minded, walking as a sinner and being a saint, righteous at the same time. (James 1:8 Duet 22:8-11) When a person buys (believes) this false doctrine, they are marked. They have bowed their heart to the image (same nature) of the Beast. Satan was a liar from the beginning. They can buy and sell (Rev 13:17) his name, The False Gospel (you surely shall not die Gen 3:4) but concerning the true gospel of Jesus Christ (Rom 1:16) you have to be sanctified,( 2 Thes 2:13) they cannot. |
