2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. I am not sure where you see "The Rebellion" here. I think it's very interesting what you posted. "Don't let anyone deceive you in any way". I wonder also, because God has told us not to be deceived, that there must be some deception that is going to come. Deception about the Lord's coming. Will there be reports that the Lord has come? Maybe this "deception" will cause the falling away or "The Rebellion"? Think about it, many are awaiting a rapture. What happens if the rapture doesn't happen and there are then reports of many missing and that the rapture took place? This might cause many to fall away from their faith? What do you all think? Maybe this is why God has warned us to not believe reports of the Lord's coming unless we see "The Rebellion"? I am not sure, that's why I'm asking. |
