1 | The Holy Spirit instilled in us when? | 1 Thess 5:23 | Joyful Jubilee | 178664
I have heard somewhere that the Holy Spirit was actually instilled in us through God breathing life into us at creation therefore our spiritual life may be in proper balance as we allow the Holy Spirit to work in our life. However in Acts, it describes Pentecost as a rush of wind and and tongues of fire fulled all those with the Holy Spirit. Can anyone explain?

God's day to you, Joyful Jubilee, and welcome to the SBF, Hearing something without checking it out is dangerous. The Berean did check Paul out (Acts 17:11). John 16:8 says the Holy Spirit convicts men ... and if you study Acts and the NT, you'll see that He comes in after we are Christians. We do have a spirit, as well as a soul (tho some combine these two) as well as a body (1 The 5:23) ... but not the Holy Spirit, until we are saved. Searcher |

That is why, I asked. I could not find any scriptural reference to the Holy Spirit being breathed into man at creation. I thought I missed something. |

I don't know either ... if you know who said it, ask them. They need to be willing to show you where they got it - in the Bible.
