1 | Is 1 Thess 4:13-18 a rapture reference? | 1 Thess 4:17 | Chusarcik | 62310 | ||
I'm doing a study series by Skip Heitzig of Calvary connection. He refers to First Thessalonians 4:13-18 as an example of the rapture of the Christians, yet when I read these verses regarding the coming of the Lord, in my NIV Bible I see no mention of the event, in fact I only see where it states that there will still be some believers living when Christ returns and that the dead in Christ rise first and the remaining believers will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air. Am I missing something here? thanks, Chusarcik |

The event in which there will still be some believers living when Christ returns and the dead in Christ rise first and the remaining believers will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air -- this event IS the Rapture. If this event is not the Rapture, then what is? If this is not the Bible definition of the Rapture, then what is the definition? |
