What does Philippians 3:10-11 mean? What does "share His sufferings" mean. My understanding of Chistians suffering is that as Christians we are to resist what Christ suffered for us on the cross - He died for us so we do not have to go through what He went through if we apply the Word to our situations. If we HAVE to go through sickness, opression etc, why did He die?
2 | Phil 4:10-11What does this mean? | Phil 3:10 | BREATHLESS | 80246
Heb 2:9 But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. It's not that we fight against the sufferings that Jesus suffered. In Jesus, we partake in the sufferings and the glory. We can't avoid death. And yet we will never die. In Jesus we see that death cannot hold us. So where is it's sting? He tasted it for us. |
