1 | How do I unite my class? | Phil 2:2 | Jen | 13884
After reading this verse I was struck by it. My church has been going through some really rough times lately and I think until we get the unity within the church back to what it was before we wont be able to experience the same joy we used to have in that church, and on a smaller scale within my college and career Sunday School class. I've tried just about everything I can think of to draw my Sunday School class back together as well as uniting ourselves with the youth but so far I've been unsucessful. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
2 | How do I unite my class? | Phil 2:2 | EdB | 13896
Have you tried talking about what is causing the dis-unity? So many times we try to solve church problems by “not talking about them”. I’m not suggesting you gossip or have a complaint session and certainly not a roast the pastor meeting. But airing the problems, then deciding what can be done by the group to pull the church back in unity may help. If the problems are unsolvable or un-addressable by your group at the very least you would get ideas for prayer. Your group could then come together to pray that God will intervene. If the problem is to volatile to discuss I would then have the group come together to pray for a resolution. It is hard to be divided when everyone is on their knees praying. I pray this will give you some ideas. Ed |
