1 | Did Uzzah has given chance to repent | Num 4:15 | gracefull | 93715
Good morning, My answer wil not show the sympathy you seek. God is just to destroy the entire world. The same is true today that was true then, God had given His instructions and they were not respected and that which was holy was treated lightly. Though this is hard for our Wester culture thinking..Consider this old addage that was and is stil true..'Ignorance of the law is no excuse'. The death of Uzzah reminded David and all of Israel that God and His Word was not to be treated lightly. Why was Uzzah not given the oportunity to repent? The answer is found in the commandment God gave concerning the Ark. The same was true of any High priest who entered the Holy of Holies unclean.(Reread the Curtman's response) Leviticus 10:9 Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations: 10 And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean; 11 And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses. You seem to think that when Uzzah touched the Ark God decided at that moment to kill him. Not so.. death was pronounced in God's Word long before he touched the Ark. God is faithful and just. Every condition of His covenant has been given to all of us, but if we choose to take His Word lightly the judgement is also pronounced before hand. God's Word is absolute! He does not compromise His Word for anyone, be that His promises or His judgements. It IS our obligation to find out what His promises and His conditions are. If we do not know, it CAN hurt us becasue He has commanded us to search His Word and has given us His Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us into al truth...we are without excuse. Does this message remind us to take our prayer time and Word time more seriously? God bless |

2 | Did Uzzah has given chance to repent | Num 4:15 | jlpangilinan | 94420
So are you saying that the sense of 1 john 1:9 is not applicapble for everyone. Did God has a favoritism who to gave chance to repent and who did not. Mt 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. Jesus Christ said all manner of sin (including the one of Uzzah) are forgivable excluding the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. If all sin is forgivable then why God cut the opportunity of uzzah to repent. There are people in the Bible that done sin that punisheable by death but have a chance to repent. Ge 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Adam eventually died but after a long time, they given chance to repent. God bless, |
