Hi taustin, When a teacher asks such questions of the students, it is not because of the significance of which direction is travelled, it would be to see how well the reading assignments are being followed. One of your classmates asked this question already, and you can find the answer under ID# 214555 |

Should we give the directions to the answer; rather then directing them to do the reading-??
4 | direction to valley of moab from oboth | Num 21:11 | keliy | 214614
Hi John, gee I don't know. I guess that happens to be one of the drawbacks of a good study forum. I would actually prefer to direct the student to the parable of the unjust steward, found in Luke 16:1-8 keliy |

5 | direction to valley of moab from oboth | Num 21:11 | stjohn | 214615
Dear Keliy, Perhaps the brevity of my rhetorical question obscured it's intended meaning. I'm sorry, it's my fault for not being clear. If I may please explain. I know it's not always the case, or easy to see at times, but when it becomes apparent that a question is most probably a homework question, it then becomes our responsibility to direct the student to the passage of scripture or other resources to do the reading or research for themselves. I'm sure the teacher we speak of, would really appreciate us teaching his or her student's the lesson of how impotent it is to do our own work and know the pride of knowing we did not shirk our responsibilities; and in our following our teachers instructions, learn an even more important lesson in the long run. I hope you see my point, and join me, Keliy, in doing the responsible thing for these students of God's Word. Shalom and God bless John |
