Hello hoodrat, You cannot take the statement from Ps. 27:10- in isolation- as a absolute directive! Go back and read, re-read and meditate upon Rom. 12 passage. There is much more specific directive found there! Also, Eph. 6:2 speaks to your circumstances. Remember Prov. 3:5-6 Prov 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. Prov 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. I encourage you to pray for the Lords' wisdom and guideance and that He would lead you to a place of forgiveness towards your parents (despite what they have done) and an understanding of how to respond.
