1 | can we love unconditionally ? | Eph 5:25 | BradK | 173813 | ||
Hi Tim, It is indeed a tall order to love unconditionally. We cannot do it on own own power (2 Cor. 12:9). But, with Christ living in us, we can strive toward the mark. It is His love flowing through us that is agape love. Consider Eph. 5:25: "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her," How much did Christ love the church? He died for it (us)! Your love IS insufficient (as is hers). Remember that, "...when I am weak, then I am strong." Only Christ in you can love with total agape love! I believe it is in allowing the life of Christ to manifest itself through us, that we show Him (Gal. 2:20). I hope this helps, BradK |
