1 | Did He Led Captives @ Death/Ressurection | Eph 4:8 | Searcher56 | 211999
I wonder if His leading captives could refer to Matthew 27:52-53, where we read “graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many?”
2 | Did He Led Captives @ Death/Ressurection | Eph 4:8 | Val | 212038
Greetings Searcher; I see no one is taking your bait. I'll give it a try. No I don't think so. It really doesn't say. It makes better sense to me anyway that it was that compartment referred to as Abraham's bosom where believers spirits were. The other compartment of sheol is still there. The one where the wicked rich man is. This is all speculation as the scripture does not elaborate on it. Since Christ was the firstfruit he lead the rest of the fruit to heaven. I believe those you are talking about in Matthew probably went on to die again. We are told in Hebrews that some received their dead back. I believe its chapter 11. Blessings - Val
