FytRobert: The Spirit (capitalized in some versions), the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Christ and the Spirit of God are all the same person -- the same Holy Spirit. There are not four persons in the trinity. I.e., it isn't God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit and God the Spirit. Ephes. 4:4 (ESV) There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 1 Cor. 12:4 (ESV) Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; 1 Cor. 12:11 (ESV) All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. 1 Cor. 12:13 (ESV) For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body— Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. Romans 8:9 (ESV) You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. Grace to you, Kalos |
