Greetings ssv.1 Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Believers can grieve the Holy Spirit when they sin, and live life-styles that go against the grain of the Christian life you profess. If an individual continues to live a life-style which grieves the Holy Spirit, it is possible to become guilty of "Quenching the Holy Spirit" 1 Thess. 5:19 In order to not grieve the Holy Spirit, we need to confess and turn from all known sin, and maintain unbroken fellowship with the Father and Son. 1 John 1:6-9 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Heb. 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, Study the above verses and ask the Lord for His guidance Grace and peace be multiplied unto thee zach† |
