I was not aware that this was the case so you need to show me how it does. There are some specific things said there in the text which seemingly does not apply to either of these men. Thanks in advance. The passage in Ephesians says "he gave some to be ..." Indeed Eph. 4:7-8 says: "he gave gifts to men (then)... v.11 continues the train of thought by saying, "he gave some to be.." Word Study ... Charisma, Charis ................... God's day to you bro Raymond, Just because the word is the same in English, does not mean it is (even close to being) the same in the original. I use http://bible1.crosswalk.com/ to gather my info. In 1 Corinthians, the word gift is Charisma (a noun neuter) is the from the verb charizomai (to do something pleasant or agreeable (to one), to do a favour to, gratify) a middle voice verb from noun feminine Charis (grace) from the verb Chairo (to rejoice, be glad). Gift in Ephesians is Dorea, noun feminine, from noun neuter Doron ... also gift. I don't believe these Greek words are related, except by how they were translated. Searcher |
