Ebrain, I know what you mean and I agree. I'm not saying that a lesser respect for the NT is a standard teaching of Messianic believers. It's just that this particular Messianic believer, the one I'm talking about, does seem to regard the NT as inferior to the Old. For one thing, this person believes the NT was originally written in Hebrew, then translated into Greek. And that in the translation from Hebrew to Greek, much of the original meaning was lost. Again, not all Messianic believers hold to this, but some do. I appreciate your replies and your recommendation of ariel.org and moriel.org. I'll look into them. Grace to you, John |

Hi John. I can sympathize with your friend, as I believe that the autographs of a large part of the NT were in fact written in Aramaic, a sister language to Hebrew, and then translated into Greek for publication.
