1 | When to consult others on God's will? | Gal 1:1 | yampa78 | 72787
In the Jan. 30 entry of "My Utmost for His Highest"(see link below), Oswold chambers says at the end, "Never ask another person’s advice about anything God makes you decide before Him. If you ask advice, you will almost always side with Satan." Can someone shed some light on what he is saying here? I was under the impression that as Christians we were to seek wise council from church leadership and our brothers in Christ. Any insight in this statement and/or the whole entry would be helpful. 2 | When to consult others on God's will? | Gal 1:1 | gracefull | 72788
Based on the subject matter-learning to discern and obey the voice of God personally-and taking the scripture reference Paul knew he had heard from God. If we already know what God is telling us to do, and we begin to ask others, we will become confused. Hope that helps |
