God's day to you, tachminite, and welcome to the SBF, Questions 1. Who is the human author? 2. Who was the letter written to? 3. What are the churches in Macedonia (8:1)? 4. What was their trial (8:2)? 5. How did give beyond their ability (8:3)? 6. Who is the us in "begging us" (8:4)? 7. What does it mean "they first gave themselves to the Lord" (8:5)? 8. What did Titus do? 9. What does it mean "he would also complete in you this gracious work as well" (8:6)? I don't see a problem in 2 Corinthians 8-9. It is about the gracious giving of Macedonia ad the encoragemet that Cornith do the same. 1 Corinthians 16:1-4 is about giving at regular time, and not wait for a special time to give to a particular need ... think about budgeting for missions, like the poor in Jerusalem. Romans 15:23-29 is also about giving for poor in Jerusalem. Dig more and learn. Searcher |
