"Jesus Only" and United Apostolic Church 'Trinity ' The word "trinity" is not found in the Bible. Nevertheless, it is a word used to describe one fact the Bible teaches about God: Our God is a Trinity. This means there are three persons in one God, not three Gods. The persons are known as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and they have all always existed as three separate persons. The person of the Father is not the same person as the Son. The person of the Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit. The person of the Holy Spirit is not the same person as the Father. If you take away any one, there is no God. God has always been a trinity from all eternity: "From everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God" (Psalm 90:2). ' God is not one person who took three forms, i.e., the Father who became the Son, who then became the Holy Spirit. This belief is known today as the "Jesus Only Movement". It is taught by the United Apostolic and United Pentecostal churches, and is an incorrect teaching. ' Nor is God only one person as the Jehovah's Witnesses, the Way International, and the Christadelphians teach (These groups are classified as non-Christian cults). For proof that there is more than one person in the Godhead, see the Plurality Study [at www.carm.org]. ' The Bible says there is only one God. Yet, it says Jesus is God (John 1:1,14); it says the Father is God (Phil. 1:2); and it says the Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-4). Since the Son speaks to the Father, they are separate persons. Since the Holy Spirit speaks also (Acts 13:2), He is a separate person. There is one God who exists in three persons.' ____________________ (www.carm.org/dictionary/dic_t.htm) 2cor13:14 |

First of all Kalos, There is a group called Jesus Only and they believe that you cannot say Jesus Christ or Jesus of Nazereth or anything attached to the name of Jesus and I am not a part of that group I AM UPC. wanna bash what we believe at least get it right www.upci.org okay? Secondly, YOU are doing nothing more than trying to cause problems. I feel it from you Kalos. I recognize the spirit you are transmitting in your words. You are trying to stir up problems and get people to HATE the Truth. Don't worry though, I am praying for you. I hope you wake up and realize the "Name Calling" that YOU are doing. If you notice I am very careful about what I say in regards to you and your beliefs, and all who are on here. 1 Samuel 26:9 And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the LORD's anointed, and be guiltless? 1 Samuel 24:10 Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the LORD had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put forth mine hand against my lord; for he is the LORD's anointed. 1 Samuel 26:11 The LORD forbid that I should stretch forth mine hand against the LORD's anointed: but, I pray thee, take thou now the spear that is at his bolster, and the cruse of water, and let us go. 2 Samuel 19:21 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed the LORD's anointed? Matthew 18 6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. God is my judge not you Kalos. You attack the Apostolics/UPC/Jesus only or anyone else again and the lockman foundation will be getting a very long letter from me in regards to you. I have tried nicely to ask you people to please not bash religions, that is not what this study forum is for. I have not in anyway bashed you or called you people heretics. Even though I do not agree with what you believe. Most of the time Kalos I do not even take time to respond to you because of your general attitude. However this really struck a nerve, because you don't even know what we believe. Get over it Kalos no one made you a judge. Further more, the trinity of the Godhead is not in the bible from beginning to end it indicates the oneness of God. Revelations 1:8 My God is the beginning and the ending, My God is Alpha and Omega. The first and the Last My God is Jesus. I am not Jesus only I am Jesus EVERYTHING. |
