Hi, Justme... "And he said, 'Then I beg you, father, that you send him to my father's house -- for I have five brothers -- in order that he may warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' But Abraham said, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.' But he said, 'No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!' But he said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.'" (Luke 16:27-31 NASB) There are so many people that want something more substantial than the Scriptures. They want sensations, they want feelings, they want visions, they want experiences, they want emotions, they want miracles, they want celebrates, they want new prophets, they want new apostles, they want bedazzlement. Add that stuff and boy-oh-boy now we're cooking! Note, however, that this always and ever reveals an obvious failure to believe in the sufficiency of Scripture. As they say in the vernacular, they will "drink the Kool-Aid" but they will not trust in the Word of God. (cf John 5:44-47) In Him, Doc |

Doc: The father of the boy that this happened to was a pastor at the time, of some sort. I think this too speaks a lot about the fathers lack of belief and trust in the Bible. Thanks yor your reply. justme |
