1 | Need help with Scriptures | 2 Cor 12:10 | 8788 | 201527 | ||
I stutter and I'm believing God that I not stutter anymore. I'm standing on a few scriptures such as Philip 4:13 and Psalm 37:4. My question is, are these scriptures appropiate for what I'm believing God for? It's not really a sickness or disease, it's in my family. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks |

Dear 8788, One of the dearest, most godly, and intelligent men I knew was also a man who stuttered. He was a good friend. I had the honor to give the eulogy at his funeral. In Jewish tradition it is believed that Moses, the greatest man in Judaism, stuttered. Some think that Paul, arguably the greatest theologian of Christendom, stuttered (2 Corinthians 11:6). You are in very good company! Might I humbly suggest, sir, that it might do well for you to embrace your impediment as a unique blessing of the Lord? Why not look at it as an indication of God's special, individual, and personal love of you? No doubt God will bring Himself great glory through this thing that men deem an impediment. Furthermore, He is also using it to conform you more and more to the image of His Son. In Him, Doc |
