Are there scriptural grounds for divorce based upon desertion? I know that moses was not condoning divorce due to adultery, just limiting a practice because of widespread abuse. Yet, if a wife leaves, or gives her husband the boot, should not this be grounds for a legal divorce? | ||||||

Scripture ... 1 Cor 7:10-15 ... God's day to you, Tim3:16, Your specific question is found in the verse I cited (1 Cor 11:15). First note that in verses 10 and 12 it is from Paul and not the Lord. Now I believe the process is the unbeliever leaves, then the unbeliever files for divorce, alone. The believer should never encourage or be any part of the preceedings. Searcher |
